Raising Awareness

You know what I'd like?

  • If people would tell me the truth

  • If they would admit that they don't understand

  • If they would admit that they CAN'T understand.

  • If people would take the time to listen

  • And to attempt to learn

  • Promises were kept

  • Assumptions weren't made

  • If my life at the moment wasn't one huge fight

I am many, many things. Too many to mention. And I had a great week. But it kind of got lost in the mileau that is the one thing it seems people CAN see about me - my CP.

I am working on a disability awareness project which will go up on part of this website. If you would like to help and/or have your photo included please send me and e-mail at theprincess[@]wheelchairprincess.com.

My friend Jo made this video montage for Down's Syndrome Awareness week and I want among other things to do something similar. If you want to read more about Hannah and see more photos of her cuteness you can go to her Caringbridge Page.

One of the other things I want to do is write a piece about disability related language.

Recent events at many many different things and places have shown me that I need to get back into my cause once again and I think this website is a good way to do that.
